OUR HISTORY

2013 – Fujimart Corp, Japanese grocery store in Greenwich CT, came under new ownership, marking the beginning of a new era focused on growth and innovation in Japanese food retail.

2015 – Opened our second store under the new leadership in West Hartford, CT, introducing authentic Japanese grocery to the local community.

2018 – Expanded into Hartsdale, NY, launching our Frontier Market concept.

2019 – Opened a new location in Brookline, MA, further extending our reach in New England.

2020 – Continued our Massachusetts growth with the opening of our Arlington, MA store.

2020 – Relocated our headquarters and operations from Greenwich, CT to Stamford, CT to support business expansion.

2021 – Introduced Maruichi Select in Brookline, MA, a curated boutique-style concept store.

2022 – Opened a Maruichi Select store in Stamford, CT, bringing a refined Japanese grocery experience to the area.

2023 – Expanded to New Jersey with the launch of our store in Princeton, NJ.

2024 – Opened our newest location in Providence, RI, continuing our mission to bring high-quality Japanese cuisine to the East Coast.

2025 – Launched Marufuji in Tysons, VA, marking our entry into the Mid-Atlantic region with a fresh new brand.
